Join us on an epic journey along the Ring Road, the legendary route that encircles Iceland and leads us to the island’s most breathtaking landscapes. Over the course of 10 days, we’ll explore the pristine and extraordinary nature of this Nordic country, where ice, fire, and lava converge to create a surreal landscape.
On the south coast, we’ll witness the majesty of Gullfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, surrounded by lush meadows and towering mountains. We’ll venture to the Vestmannaeyjar islands to observe the largest puffin colony in the North Atlantic. Our journey will also take us to Vatnajökull National Park, home to Europe’s largest glacier.
As we reach the north coast, we’ll sail the North Sea to spot whales in Húsavík, Iceland’s whale-watching capital. We’ll marvel at the iconic waterfalls of the north, including the legendary Godafoss, and explore the stunning Lake Mývatn, famous for its hot springs and volcanic landscapes.

One of the best amphibian, reptile and wildlife photographers in Colombia. He leads workshops and photographic tours. He is a biologist and expert in macro-photography, full-time nature photographer and leading tour guide in Colombia.
He has published 14 scientific articles contributing to the knowledge and conservation of various species in Colombia. His photographic work has taken him to explore every corner of the country. His photos have been featured in magazines such as Enfoque Visual, RowZine, and the Catalog of Amphibians and Reptiles of Colombia, among others. He won the environmental advocacy category in the Agenda del Mar photography competition (2022). He uses photography and biology as tools to promote conservation through various initiatives, contributing to a deeper understanding of species’ behaviors and their interactions with ecosystems. These two passions have allowed him to offer a unique perspective on the hidden and unknown world beneath the mysterious landscapes of Colombia’s mountains and plains, aiming to create a bridge between memory and nature.
Day 1 | August 03 | Airport | Welcome to Iceland
Today, the journey begins as we touch down on the enchanted land of Iceland, where fire and ice have long danced their eternal waltz. Our first embrace with Reykjavík awaits, a city where ancient sagas meet modern tales. Over a warm welcome lunch, we savor the flavors of this northern gem, preparing for an afternoon that unfolds Reykjavík’s heart. As dusk descends, we travel to Thingvellir, where tectonic plates meet beneath the watchful gaze of ancient spirits. We end our day photographing this sacred place, capturing the timeless beauty that surrounds us.
Day 2 | August 04 | Golden Circle
In the misty pre-dawn light, we venture into the Golden Circle, where Earth breathes steam and water thunders in powerful cascades. At Geysir, scalding water bursts forth in a display of raw energy, and Gullfoss waterfall roars in triumph, tumbling over rocks and reflecting the wild spirit of Iceland. After breakfast, we journey to the Kerid Volcano, its vibrant caldera a window into the fiery soul of this land. As evening descends, we find ourselves surrounded by golden hues, capturing the landscape as it transforms under the gentle caress of the setting sun.
Day 3 | August 05 | Vestman Islands | Ferry Tour
Today, we cross the ocean’s embrace to the Vestman Islands, a sanctuary where puffins nest in colorful cliffs and waves crash with a poet’s rhythm. After arriving, we savor a peaceful lunch and then turn our lenses toward these winged wonders, capturing their playfulness and grace. As the sun dips toward the horizon, we enjoy a picnic dinner under an open sky, photographing puffins against the fiery hues of sunset, preserving this moment of serenity and wild beauty.
Day 4 | August 06 | Waterfalls | Black Beach
This day leads us to Iceland’s legendary waterfalls and Vik’s otherworldly black sands. As we explore, the waters of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss dance in endless cascades, each droplet reflecting centuries of myth and mystery. By late afternoon, we venture to Reynisfjara, where the black beach stretches beneath towering basalt columns, like a stage set for ancient tales. With cameras in hand, we capture the mesmerizing contrast of black sands, white waves, and an ever-changing sky.
Day 5 | August 07 | Glacier | Diamond Beach
We awaken to a day of glaciers and diamonds, venturing to one of nature’s greatest masterpieces. The glacier, vast and silent, stretches under a sky of endless blue. We explore its icy expanses, our cameras capturing the intricate dance of light on its frozen surface. At Diamond Beach, icebergs glitter like jewels against the black sand, sculpted by wind and sea into fleeting masterpieces. As evening falls, we await the golden light, photographing this surreal landscape as it transforms beneath the setting sun.
Day 6 | August 08 | Eastern Fjords | Landscape
Today, the road leads us eastward to the serene beauty of the Eastern Fjords, a land where time lingers and the world seems to hold its breath. We journey to Seydisfjordur, a town cradled by mountains and touched by whispers of the sea. After lunch, we continue to the thundering Dettifoss and ethereal Selfoss waterfalls, where the power of water and time is immortalized in mist. The day concludes with a visit to hot springs, where we relax, letting Iceland’s warmth seep into our bones.
Day 7 | August 09 | Husavik | Whales
In the quiet dawn, we wander through landscapes molded by fire and ash, visiting Hverir’s steaming fields, Grjótagjá’s secret pools, and Hverfjall’s crater, ancient and solemn. After a hearty breakfast, we prepare for an evening unlike any other in Húsavík, the whale-watching capital. As the sun dips, we embark on the waters, where gentle giants breach and spout, and our cameras seek to capture the soul of these creatures against the twilight sky.
Day 8 | August 10 | Akureyri | Return
The road calls us to Akureyri, a town nestled beneath mountains that seem to touch the heavens. We wander its streets, absorbing the spirit of Iceland’s northern heart, then set forth toward Kirkjufell, the mystical mountain that rises like a sentinel over the landscape. As night falls, we capture this legendary peak, silhouetted against a sky painted in the soft, fading light—a memory etched in the stillness of the Icelandic dusk.
Day 9 | August 11 | Reykjavík | Shopping
With the dawn, we greet the land one final time, capturing Reykjavík’s landscapes before the city awakens. After breakfast, we return to Reykjavík, where the modern and mythical intertwine. The day is ours to explore, to collect treasures and memories that hold the spirit of this island. In the evening, we venture through Reykjavík’s streets, immortalizing its urban charm through our lenses, a fitting end to our Icelandic odyssey.
Day 10 | August 12 | Blue Lagoon | Hot Springs, Relaxation
Today, we retreat to the Blue Lagoon, a sanctuary where geothermal waters soothe the weary traveler. We sink into warmth, letting the waters restore us, and gaze at the mist rising from the lagoon as if the earth itself were breathing. Tonight, a farewell dinner awaits, a final gathering of shared stories and laughter, a moment to say goodbye to this land that has given us so much.
Day 11 | August 13 | International Return Flight
As dawn breaks, we prepare to leave Iceland’s embrace, hearts and cameras full of memories. The journey home begins, but the spirit of Iceland will remain with us—a land of ice and fire, captured forever in the stories we carry and the images we have made.
